- Sherkin Abbey Looking East Towards The Beacon 40x120cm As you head down to the pier, you steal a moment as you round the corner to look to your right at the beautiful Abbey. Historical jewel on Sherkin Island, founded in 1460 by the O’Driscoll Cheiftain. The view from here is immense, and we nearly always pass so quickily in a rush for the ferry! But pausing for a moment, as well as a view right into the Abbey, we can see Baltimore Beacon and Spain Tower in the distance, and some glorious foxgloves bobbing their tall heads beside us at the roadside. Framed size 48x128cm, price includes ivory frame.
